The blade Indeed is incredibly sharp but all of these arathorians have gone mad after wielding the sword for too long, refusing to give It back to the Caretakers. The blacksmith indeed created a blade, but it was not given to the Prince. Instead the Blacksmith created a duplicate sword, of less quality. He kept the first sword hidden, it was so perfectly balanced he could not waste it as a training sword. Years later Stromgarde came under siege, the blacksmith saw his chance and presented the blade to Galen Trollbane, during the siege the Prince saw the blade as a blessing and locked it away to be used in a future crisis.
